Rule #520 (Beginning of Theme Month & Meta-Rule Week)

I hope you enjoyed my Guest Month a while back, because I've decided to do the same thing, but with Theme Rules. So, to kick things off, let's have a week suggested by the very brainy Brint Montgomery: Meta-Rule Week (Rules about Rules).
Meta-Rule #1:
Rules should be short (i.e. no longer than a couple of sentences).
