Some activities (such as motorcycle racing, extreme sports, and dare-deviling) are logarithmic in the amount they increase how cool you are. Other activities (such as martial arts, marksmanship, and artistic ability) are exponential in the amount they increase how cool you are.
It's weird that you mention logarithms and exponents that's exactly what I'm working on at school for math as a college student. Not to mention the test I have tomorrow or should I say today on those.
